Titanium oxysulfate nano TiO2 is currently a widely used nanomaterial with characteristics such as non toxicity, transparency, UV absorption, low melting point, strong magnetic properties, thermal conductivity, whiteness, and brightness. It has important applications in coatings, fine ceramics, plastics, papermaking, printing inks, chemical fibers, cosmetics, rubber, industrial wastewater treatment, and as an antibacterial agent [1-2]. The main goal of industrial production of nano TiO2 today is to obtain high-performance nano TiO2 using inexpensive and simple preparation methods. At present, the commonly used raw materials for preparing nano TiO2 are titanium alkoxides [Ti (OR) 4, R is alkyl such as - C2H5, - C3H7, - C4H9], titanium tetrachloride (TiCl4), and titanium oxysulfate (TiO2SO4). Titanium tetrachloride and titanium oxysulfate are more commonly used in industrial production. However, compared with Ti (OR) 4 and TiCl4, TiOSO4 has a low price and easy availability of raw materials. As a basic raw material for preparing nano titanium dioxide, it has good industrial application prospects. In this paper, the principle and process of preparing nano-TiO2 with TiOSO4 as raw material by precipitation method, sol-gel method, hydrothermal method, mechanochemical method, etc. are emphatically introduced and evaluated.
Titanium dioxide pigment - substitute for titanium dioxide - titanium dioxide - titanium dioxide - titanium dioxide - titanium dioxide pigment - composite titanium dioxide pigment - titanium dioxide. The study of titanium dioxide surface area is very important. The specific surface area detection data of titanium dioxide can only be obtained by BET method, which is true and reliable. Currently, there are many instruments in China that can only be used for direct comparison detection, but they have also been eliminated in China. At present, the multi-point BET method is uniformly used for specific surface area testing both domestically and internationally. The specific surface area measurement standards developed domestically and internationally are based on the BET testing method. Please refer to China's national standard (GB/T 19587-2004) - Gas adsorption BET principle method for determining the specific surface area of solid substances. The specific surface area detection is actually a time-consuming task. Due to the different adsorption abilities of the samples, some sample tests may take a whole day. If the testing process is not fully automated, the testing personnel cannot leave at all times and must concentrate at a high level to observe the dashboard and control the knobs. A slight carelessness can lead to the failure of the testing process, which will waste a lot of valuable time of the testing personnel.
