The use of refined fluorosilicic acid
1. It is the basic raw material for producing sodium fluorosilicate, potassium, ammonium, magnesium, copper, barium, lead and other fluorosilicates and silicon tetrafluoride. Used for metal electroplating, wood preservation, beer disinfection, disinfection of brewing industry equipment (1%~2% H2SiF6), and electrolytic refining of lead. It is also used as a mordant and metal surface treatment agent.
2. Used for measuring barium. Separate barium and strontium. Electrolytic refining of lead and tin. Preparation of fluorosilicates. Equipment disinfection.
3. Fluorosilicic acid is also used as an additive in certain electroplating processes. Fluorosilicic acid or its salts are used for chromium plating additives, which can have a similar effect to sulfate ions and can increase current efficiency to around 20%, improve brightness, and broaden the range of bright current density; Fluorosilicic acid has an activating effect on the chrome plating layer, with a short power outage time. Continuing the plating process almost does not affect the bonding strength, so fluorosilicic acid is a necessary additive in rolling chrome plating; Fluorosilicic acid can reduce the current density of chromium plating and improve the coating coverage, but it increases the corrosiveness of the plating solution.
3. The raw materials for producing fluorosilicates and silicon tetrafluoride are also used in metal electroplating, wood preservation, beer disinfection, etc.
Evacuate personnel from the contaminated area to a safe zone and prohibit unrelated personnel from entering the contaminated area. It is recommended that emergency responders wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing. Do not come into direct contact with the leaked material and seal the leak while ensuring safety. Mix and absorb with sand or other non combustible adsorbents, then collect and transport to waste disposal sites for disposal. You can also rinse with a large amount of water, and dilute the washing water into the wastewater system. If there is a large amount of leakage, use embankments to contain it, and then collect, transfer, recycle or dispose of it harmlessly before disposal.
Sealed operation, providing sufficient local ventilation. Operators must undergo specialized training and strictly follow operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear a hood type electric air supply filter dust respirator, rubber protective clothing, and rubber gloves. Keep away from sources of fire and heat, and smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace. Use explosion-proof ventilation systems and equipment. Avoid generating dust. Avoid contact with oxidants and acids. Handle with care during transportation to prevent damage to packaging and containers. Equip with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and emergency response equipment for leaks. Empty containers may contain residual harmful substances.
